All camcorders can record video that can be edited on the computer. If you are planning to do lots of editing, mini-DV is probably the best choice. Here are some helpful camcorder buying guides that covers the different recording media.
Create a video blog
I purchased a Panasonic GS36 from Costco for around $250.00 It is a terrific budget camera with all the basics features you need to hook up to a PC for editing. As long as your camera has a FIREWIRE port, then you shouldn’t have a problem getting video into the PC.
What you need to know now, however, is if your PC is capable of editing video. You should have a MAC or Win XP and a firewire port and at least 512MB ram. Video editing is a giant memory hog and will crash even really good set-up PC’s.
