A poem about “waiting” or “memory” or “soul mate”?
thriftysnob asked:
I’m looking for a poem about the subject of “waiting” for someone, “memory”, or “soul mate” without it being too preachy or mentioning god. Any suggestions?

‘The Raven’ by Edgar Allen Poe
If you’re into the macabre.. he’s dreaming of his ‘lost Lenore’
or even better is ‘Annabelle Lee’
“It was many and many a year ago,
In a kingdom by the sea,
That a maiden there lived whom you may know
By the name of Annabel Lee;
And this maiden she lived with no other thought
Than to love and be loved by me.”

I KNOW YOU HATE ME
IVE DONE YOU WRONG
BUT WEVE BEEN APART
FOR WAY TO LONG
THE GAP IS NARROW

THERES ALWAYS TOMMOROW
SO LETS BEGIN AGAIN
LET ME START WITH THE WORDS
I TRUELY AM SORRY
IVE BEEN SUCH A TURD
BUT DONT YOU WORRY
I CAN BE TRUE
OUR LOVE WILL PREVAIL
WHEN MY TIME IS THROUGH
AND IM OUT OF JAIL
