Hell, apparently men can breastfeed so i can’t see why a woman can’t start producing milk before getting pregnant. LOL. But of course, they need to take a pill to do that. (Seriously, seen an article the other day that men CAN breastfeed)

But normally, a woman starts producing Colustrum (liquid gold, or i guess you can call it pre-milk) throughout her pregnancy and its the first “milk” that comes in. That is the BEST for the baby, then the milk comes in shortly (normally) after that.

First of all, puberty and marriage have absolutely nothing to do with it.
Women start producing milk after the embryo has been fertilized.
a.k.a. Once they get pregnant they produce milk and can continue to produce it for years after wards; although time periods do vary.

Yes they can, if they have something known as galactorrhea (I had it and it turned out to be a side effect of a medication I was on that was increasing a hormone called prolactin.) I was 22 years old, not pregnant, and one day my shirt just got wet and I was scared and confused.

Galactorrhea just means basically ‘leaking milk for no reason.’ Pituitary tumors (brain) cause the same thing. That’s what they thought I had at first. I had to have a couple of MRIs. And sometimes it happens with no known cause, for years! Want to hear something really strange? This can happen to children and MEN too. That’s right, men can make milk. They can even develop swollen *******. And when a newborn baby arrives, sometimes their ******* are swollen (the baby) and they leak a small amount of milk. This is caused by hormones from mom’s body entering the baby’s system. This goes away within a couple of days.

Occasionally people can make milk when their ******* are stimulated (sucking, etc) causing the body to instinctively make milk, thinking there is a baby around.

Not in most people, though. For the majority of people, they only make milk the weeks before and after they have a baby. So people don’t make milk all the time, only when the body is triggered by hormones- it gets the message to start producing milk.

As soon as I got off the medication, within a couple of months, my milk dried up. Now I’m pregnant and here we go again! :)

No, there’s a chemical found in a wedding ring which is required to lactate????

Baby boys can be born with milk leaking from their nipples, so yes, if the correct hormones are present, any human being can lactate.

They only contain milk once you are married. That’s why women wear white wedding dresses, so the milk doesn’t show when they start leaking as they walk out of the church! Ha ha ha ha!
