How can I remove the conditions on Permanent residence when my marriage has failed due to deceit of my wife?

Friday 20 February 2009 @ 12:21 pm
udoma_mfoniso asked:

She came to US in 1991 via marriage until 2001 when the man died without any child. She then asked me for marriage; sent pretty photos, discussed sweetly on the phone, etc.
But when I came over and we got married in court here, she turned into a tiger, conttrolling me, my income in joint account, and when I react she threatens to ask the USCIS to return me back to Africa.
Infact, I am miserable because she caused me to resign from my employment and terminate my Masters
programme. Moreover, she is older than what she told me.What are my optins please?

jjazzy asked:

I need a YA book on forbidden love. Two teenagers fall in love and try to keep their relationship a secret from their parents and/or friends. I am open to any suggestion except for Romeo and Juliet. I would like to read something more modern than that.

Is the forbidden love more appealing than the destined love?

Tuesday 8 July 2008 @ 7:24 am
love
seahawk2006 asked:

When reading or watching a story/movie, is the forbidden or impossible love more interesting to the viewer than the ‘destined’ love that was always meant to be? With whom do the readers sympathize? Is the idea of the fated lovers, ‘true love,’ or love at first sight becoming less intriguing or less plausible in modern times? I notice a lot of contemporary stories involve cheating, adultery, or unfaithfulness, with the readers’ sympathy driven towards the unfaithful relationship rather than the original couple. Is this a trend in modern literature? What cultural forces are at work?

Would you like to read a romantic novel based on a true story of love?

Tuesday 29 April 2008 @ 12:46 am
true love
Willy K asked:

I am an author and have written a romantic novel, based on a recent and true story. It is a soul stirring saga of two people, who meet on the internet and fall in love. The girl is from America and the boy is from India. Both are going through a bad phase in their lives and live in different parts of the world. If they wish to come together and unite forever, they will have to overcome considerable hardships and challenges. This is a TRUE STORY based on a REAL LIFE OCCURRENCE and events. I have not deviated from the truth through out my book and have narrated the events and incidents as they happened in REAL LIFE. The book will touch and warm the hearts of all those, who believe in TRUE LOVE and its universal POWER. To read the book or to learn more about it, please email me at willy.author@yahoo.com. Trust me, you will not read it just once.

What is a good inexpensive book for someone who needs to start over after a divorce?

Wednesday 23 April 2008 @ 2:36 pm
divorce
Mrs. B asked:

I wanted to give my mother a book she can relate to, she has just gone through her second divorce, and actually had to move in with my grandmother. She’s starting over and tends to jump into relationships quickly, and has now been dating a man for a few months (3-4) and they are already talking about marriage. I want to give her a book with a story about learning to love yourself, getting back on track after a divorce, and not to be afraid if you are alone.
