True love endures time.
It is never fake.
It is indomitable.
It is stronger than hatred.
Love may bring happiness,
Love may also bring pain,
Yet true love endures all,
Stays strong in bittersweet.
True love survives suffering,
As long as my eyes can see,
As long as i can breathe,
As long as you still love me.

What advice would you give someone on how to write a love poem for Valentine’s day? What tips can you think of to help write a romantic love poem? Can you give a list of steps involved in writing a love poem? What would you tell a beginner to get them started writing a love poem?

Hi.
I need to compare and contrast the poems first love by john clare and ballad by anon.I have no idea where to start as i have never studied poetry before. My essay has to be between 200 – 500 words long. If anyone has any advice i would be really grateful.

True Love is you accepting my children as your own
True Love is waking in the middle of the night, to walk our youngest son back to his bed after a nightmare
True Love is you telling our daughter how proud you are of her accomplishment, even though its not the degree we thought she should pursue
True Love is watching you play one on one with our oldest son, making certain he is prepared for the high school team
True Love
As I am guided through another day
I listen to my heart and pray
I pray that you remain strong and glee
Until my love brings you back to me
I pray that you handle my heart with care
For only the insincere have ever dwelled there
I pray that you follow the voice of my heart
Hear the mingling of two souls that will never part
I pray we are together once again
Finally sharing true love…now let us begin
It’s not my best poem…I just wanted to see how it would turn out when i’m not in the mood to write and force myself.
I really need to be in the mood….

I am really quite unsure. I have seen in all periods how people have written about dead lovers, how much they love their spouse, etc. and have a hard time finding a difference.
True love is like a shooting star moving through the sky,
True love is like a heart shape strawberry pie.
True love is like sitting outside looking at the moon,
True love is like staying home watching your favorite cartoon.
True love is like a red rose that surely never dies,
True love is never saying farewell or good byes.
True love come once a lifetime that is what they say,
True love is when two people care for each other everyday.

I’m looking for a poem about the subject of “waiting” for someone, “memory”, or “soul mate” without it being too preachy or mentioning god. Any suggestions?
