Now, take it to the next step — would an adherent of that religion not say the same for the way you raise your own children, assuming you raise them religiously?

When did this first become considered a right rather than a privilege? I see so many speaking out against religions that arrange marriage- do they not know that marriage for love is actually quite a new thing?

There used to be a saying – “Only the poor can marry for love” – think aspects of that might still hold true, especially in community property states?

Does it say love your spouse in the bible, or only “cleave unto”, respect and obey your spouse?
