My fiancé and I are getting married this summer/fall. I don’t want to get a marriage license. I think that being legally married isn’t as important as the commitment we are making to each other. Is it fraud if I take his name and in social settings we refer to each other as husband and wife, however legally we maintain our single status?
He will actually loose his social security benefits if we get the license. He is considered a disabled adult/ child, because he was disabled at birth. He is in a wheelchair and he depends on that money. Being a disabled adult/ child means that it goes through his father’s social security. Also we have already filled power of attorney papers as well as our wills. Common Law marriage is not longer allowed where we live.

I want to ask my girlfriend to marry me. I live near Harrisburg,
Pennsylvania and I am trying to find a great place to ask her
outdoors. She loves nature so I was thinking of doing it on a hike.
Since I am new to the area, I know of hiking in the area, but nothing
that stands out as something that is truly memmorable. I thought of
2 places, a picnic in the middle of no where near a waterfall at
Ricketts Glen State Park and somewhere at Long Wood Gardens to pop the
question but they are both about a 2 hour drive. Unfortunately I
can’t travel too far, because we aren’t sleeping together till
marriage and that limits us to just a day trip. So I guess my
question is, are these the best nature places in the area to porpose?
And if so then are there specific areas in each that are more romantic
and meant for proposing? If I do propose during a hike, then is a
picnic too much or too cumbersome? I just want to make this day
