Do you need a state marriage license or will a county license work to enroll in deers?

We recently got married and the military told us we had to use a state file on a marriage license to enroll in deers. A state marriage license takes three months to order and other people we know enrolled with a county license. Did anyone else have this problem?

I would say that a certified copy of your marriage certificate should suffice. If they give you a hard time, tell them to show you in the regulation what the requirements are. If they tell you the reg #, tell them to provide you the paragraph number.

Then again, you could wait until that jerk goes to lunch and have someone else put it in for you without mentioning the previous “help” that was provided.

Third option, go to another base or site to accomplish it in another personel office.
