I have seen so many good people settle that I know there are only a certain number of us who actually are holding out for our true soul mate.

I would never settle. It broke my heart to leave my first husband, but it just wasn’t right in so many ways. For me to have a chance at happiness, I knew I had to leave.

Second husband – SOOO much better. I love him to pieces (and he puts up with me, too – lol). Seriously, tho, it’s a match made in Heaven (and I’m an atheist).

16 years married this May.

I’m still looking…

But I do believe that everyone has a soulmate out there somewhere – the ‘one’ for us.
Some lucky people get to meet more than one in their lifetime, and there are ‘passing through’ soulmates – people who are meant to help us at a certain point in our life journey.

I “settled” on the love of my life 25 years ago at a beach party, we married two years later, then started having kids after we both graduated and started making money, I sure like to look at pretty women, but I have never been tempted in the least to go astray…my wife would f’n kill me….

I don’t believe that it’s fair to myself or the other person to simply “settle” with them.

I have the love of my life and my soul mate;
and all the feelings….
the rightness….just [ALL] of it,
proves that it’s worth waiting for ?
++ yes, I’m very happy with it….
we’re spending forever together;
not because we’re perfect
or what we have is perfect….
but because we’re in love
and it’s perfect *for us*.

As I don’t believe in “soulmates”, I wouldn’t say I just settled. I waited until I was 30 to get married, found myself a very good man whom I love and I’m happy.

I think I settled my first marriage.

MY second marriage evolved from my best friend becoming my greatest love- and he is still so. I don’t believe I have settled at all.

IF I weren’t happy, I wouldn’t be married.

i think this question makes me sick…nothing against you though. yes, I’m bitter, that’s how i feel.
