How come egyptian men are allowed and even encouraged to have sex before marriage but women are not?

Sam J asked:

Isn’t this quite hypocritical? I mean egyptian men can have sex before marriage and are even encouraged to do it but women are often shamed and discouraged sometimes even killed for doing it? Why the huge double standard?

Double standards happen everyone in every culture. I dont think there will ever be a good explanation for it.

Please knock before you enter. You scared me.

What the hell are you talking about ?!! You got your facts totally wrong, OR maybe people lied to me when they told me that I live in Egypt.

    Edit

@beanerjr2002: I like your answer, it is somehow logical.

yes it is hypocritical. but they’re not allowed or encouraged to do so as u claim, its just that ppl do not make such a big deal out of it as when the girl does the same. why? cuz hes a man and shes a woman. I know it’s stupid and sick. But aside from that, in Islam, Fornication is forbidden for both men and women and the punishment for it is the same for both of them. If people would stick to the Islamic teachings, life wudve been so much better and very fair.

Almost all religions prohibit sex before marriage. This is because sex is considered to be a way to perpetuate life on earth, not a source of pleasure. Women in particular have to keep themselves intact before marriage in order to avoid unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases, that they could pass on to the next generation. Men are encouraged to have sex before marriage-well, I don’t know why. Maybe because they have to be more experienced than their partners….or mabe because they are considered to be more pure than women.

It isnt just Egypt but all the Arab and Muslim countries. “boys will be boys” as they say.

Linah, they do it with local girls too, there are plenty of bars, clubs, female co workers, female neighbors, widows and unhappy wives who are willing to have sex with these men. And I’ve seen plenty of Muslim girls doing zenah with kafir men in the West and going to clubs and bars.

men can have sex before marriage because there is no way to prove that they did as for women if they do it the husband to be is the ex husband and she is put on a pillory by her own familly, exept the happy case when they want to cover it up
to everyone here saying what u said is such a big lie – i’m sure you can open your eyes and see the reality, i lived there and women have no right to a private life, no kissing, no nothing and i’m not talking abt exeptions
men go out and have sex with who? with a lot of girls that prone to still be virgins
the reality is people are having sex and they should, but they should not hide it, everybody on this earth is having sex, christian, jew, muslim, budhist and the list goes on

As I stated in your other question (asking this same thing but referencing Morocco instead of Egypt) premarital sex is forbidden in Islam.

This doof asked this question in every Arab or Muslim country section here on YA. He is a troll who is a liar. He is simply trying to pass his lies about Islam off to as many people as he can in disguise of asking about certain countries.

As we all know what he has questioned here is not the case in any way in Egypt, Morocco or any other Muslim nation. I hate liars.
