How do I know if I have found my soul-mate in life?

soul mate
The Doctor asked:

Is there any way of really knowing if you have found your soul-mate? I know there is love and true love but I don’t know whether the person I am in love with is my soul-mate or not … anyone with guidance here?
I just feel … happy when I’m around them. I keep getting fluttery feelings in my chest when I look into their eyes and I love the sound of his voice so much ..

That fluttery thing is being young & infatuated. No such thing as a soulmate. Stick with the guys who make you “fluttery” for now. Enjoy your youth. When it comes time for a permanent partner find one who is kind & makes you laugh.

Do you want to spend the rest of your life with him? Would you stay with him if he got really sick? Would you stay with him if he had some weird problem like an addiction? Do you care enough to understand his feelings and empathise with them. Does he share all those emotions. Then maybe. But I doubt it. You probably haven’t known him long enough. Would you trust him with a secret you’d never tell another soul? One of my friends has a recurring dream – that she can’t find my phone number – it’s because I’m the one she calls when she’s in trouble – that’s trust – and a basis of a friendship. You have to have that sort of friendship before an even deeper relationship.

there is no such thing as some magical “soul-mate” that is just in movies and books. Ask anyone who has been in a long term relationship. They will ALL have their ups and downs. And the infatuation feeling at the beginning will wear off. But if you pick a person who will treat you nice and has similar goals and morrals, you will build a deep strong relationship together. which is much more fulfiling thatn infatuation anyway. good luck

GET REAL… A REAL SOULMATE? With the Billions of humans on this earth….. you think you could find “THE ONLY ONE, BORN JUST FOR YOU”? You are dreaming wishfully!….. Granted you may find a perfect and totally compatible person to share your life with…. (IF you are LUCKY)…

To do that is difficult at best…
