I am not 30 yet and have elderly wife, so is it dangerous for us to plan children?

NYC Sewers asked:

She is healthy and able to walk and get around but is about 65. I want to giver her many children and raise them up in Vancouver. We live in a fishing boat in Louisana and we catch aligators and light commercial fishing. She is cajun and speaks French like in Canada. What you think?

I think if she is 65, she’s well past menopause and can’t (naturally) have children anyway.

I’d “plan” on having kids sooner than later. Diapers ain’t cheap for adults or for kids.

I think that having a baby with a 65 year old woman is crazy. Just because she might live through all of the childs life and that would be very hard on a kid.

Either this is a joke or you have a lot of misconceptions about the human body and the outside world.

Just in case you are serious–no children, she’s menopausal.
Also, they don’t speak French in Vancouver, try Montreal instead.

Definitely dangerous. If you love her, please don’t attempt it. Another choice is to find a surrogate mother. You can also adopt. It’s considered dangerous past age 45.

You need a doctor’s advice about this- I know a few mothers who are in their fifties, but 65 sounds a little extreme. Why not adopt?

That is not healthy. At all. You can’t have children at 65.
And they don’t speak French in Vancouver. The only part of Canada that speaks mostly French is Quebec.

    Is this a joke?

i think you’re lying. but, if you aren’t…she probably isn’t even able to have children anymore. and a fishing boat doesn’t sound like a great environment for a child.

I think ur the biggest bullshit artist the world has ever seen and that doesnt mean your the best.
Even if ur not having us on the thought of marrying a 70 y.o woman is creepy (let alone the thought of having kids)
If u are seroius then adopt because the likelihood of your children having a mentl or physical deformity triples after the age of 50 nd she is well past her BEST BEFORE DATE (no offence mate but run while you still can u r free)
    good day sir

In all reality, I find ALL this very hard to believe! I think the octuplets have gotten to you, IF you’ve even heard about them on your fishing boat. If you have, she has at least 8 kids too many & she just might share a few w/you two. IF this IS reality, you both belong in the Guinness World’s Book of Records! (along w/the one w/the 14 kids of course) I cannot imagine anyone that age even being able to have children let alone “many” children. No, I’m NOT going to even bite on the end of your fishing line anyway. You can WANT all you want, but reality is reality. At least you gave lots of us a smile or whatever…:)

At 65 and planning to have biological children. Do you know she could be in the guiness world book of records if she conceives. I can believe she must have passed menopause. You said many children, are you really serious? If this could happen, you would kill that poor woman. Do you lover her, and want her die? If a child is borne by her it also could be extremely dangerous. You could father a handicapp child or a deformed one.

Why not do adoption? This would be better and you would see that elderly woman adding more years to her life.

I have heard of implanting test tube baby in the uterus, but that is rather so expensive and could be still life threatening.

Thinking to let this woman bore a child, I do not believe you love her!!

If you are almost 30, you should know that women in their 60′s don’t or can’t normally have children. If you wanted to have many children, why did you marry someone so much older? And – what does speaking french have to do with having an elderly wife and wanting children? Sorry, but I don’t understand that part of your question.

Haha liberal idiot. Bit of a pretsel we’ve gotten ourselves into, eh? So much for love doesn’t have an age, a gender, a particular species, or even vital signs.

Looks like ya aren’t havin’ kids, mate.

More than dangerous. It can kill her. Of course, I am thinking this is a real question and you are serious about this and it is not a joke. I can’t believe you would want to put her health at risk. There are plenty of children that need loving homes.

Wow whats wrong with you being with a woman who is old enough to be your grandmother!
No she cant have kids at that age. And to adopt kids would be wrong unless you plan on being a single dad.
