In AZ is it legal for a notary who was once related by marriage to sign papers for the exspouses family?

It was the ex husbands family who she signed the papers for. I know notaries cannot sign if they are related by blood, marriage or adoption but I don’t know how it works if they are divorced.

Yes, I have not seen anything wrong in doing that. However, it all depends on the process leading to her divorce and who is at fault or who contributed to the divorce. In other words, if the family are the contributing factor, it could be very dangerous because she may use that to retaliate. If not, then she could also use the medium as a tool for reconciling her marriage.
Again, been a professional in her field and a legal practitioner which her integrity is always a respectable one, she could execute her job in such a manner that is expected of her.
Finally, is legal and pose not threat or risk. Why is because the risk is below the benefits.
