Different for each situation, but I would say that longer than 5 years is starting to drag on. Too soon would be before you really got to know one another.

Anything quicker than a year is too soon. Longer than 3, and I think I’d give an ultimatum.

2 years he has two year if it takes longer then that then it wont work

Well I asked him…back in June. I waited a year and we’ll wait a few more to get married.

Honestly, I think after two years I’d kinda get annoyed. But at my age, I don’t want to wait past a year.

for me there was no too soon my husband asked me after 3 months of dating but I wouldn’t wit 4 years again like I did with my ex and we had a child together so I would say after 1 or maybe 2 years,my best friend and her husband was only dating for 1 month when they got married and before you ask they are still married after 6 years and have 2 children.

Ok if I EVER kept a relationship for more than a month, I’d be willing to wait forever for proposal, which hopefully isn’t before about 10 months of dating.

If I truly loved him it wouldn’t matter…Of course I’ve been married and am divorced so my thoughts on that are probably tainted by age and experience….As far as what is too soon? Well, My fiancee proposed after just 2 months and that was fine but with someone else it would have been too soon..It depends on the two people

I waited six long years – That was six years too many! I really do believe that a man can tell within 6 months if he wants to marry a woman; However, I wouldn’t be comfortable getting engaged until at least a year had passed!

My man has “proposed” several times, but until recently, when I got fed up and was ready to be single, wasn’t exactly serious about it. I’ve been with him 9.5 years, and we’ll finally be married very soon.

i have been dating my boyfriend on and off since i was 15 in highschool. im now 23. ive been waiting for that diamond for 8 years. we have been living together for over a year now. i told him by our 9 year aniversary if i dont see a diamond hes getting out. we will see what happens lol. its kinda mean to do. but im not going to buy a house with a man in not married to. and ill be 24 next year and im not going to wait till im 30 to have a baby.
