Proposing Marriage?

proposing marriage
John S asked:

I am going to ask the question today and extremely nervous! I am asking a formerly married woman that has one son. This is why Im choosing today to ask. She is the sweetest most caring person Ive ever met and Im taking the plunge. Ive got the ring in hand 2 carats!, was thinking of doing the scoreboard thing at a ballgame or just going for a walk and popping the question…..What are some creative ways I can ask her??

I would go out to dinner with her and her son and before desert ask the question that way she knows and realizes without a doubt you know that her and her son are a package deal and the son knows too, if he is younger you could get him a small ring plain gold kid band to show him you want all of you to be a family forever. good luck

pleasssssse don’t do the scoreboard thing. yuck.

make her dinner at home. ask her sitting on the front porch or sofa. very “homey”.

I second that…please don’t do the scoreboard thing. Only ask at the game if she likes baseball. Make it about her and her son.

I think it would be cute it you did the dinner idea with both of them and during desert or while you are chatting after dinner say to her son “What would you think about me marrying your mom?” And look into her eyes so she knows your serious. How old is her son?

The scoreboard thing sounds awful. Please don’t do it.

I like the idea of you taking her for a walk and proposing in a park or somewhere quiet where it can be just the two of you. Make it personal – so much more romantic that way.

I know there are alot of cute little ideas out there, but I think the most heart felt memorable way is for a man to just get down on bended knee and ask. Go for the walk and make it private.

Take her to a nice restaurant. After the restaurant take her on a carriage right (night would be really romantic) and propose to her on the carriage ride. good luck!

saw someone the other day put signs on the side of the road ..starting with the name and then 10 feet have will than another 10 feet have you…etc…maybe on your fav country road or a sunday drive…have a picnic lunch in the trunk and pick a romantic spot under a tree…depending on her sons age i would maybe ask him how he feels about it/talk to him 1st…just so that you avoid any poor reactions by him…not that he doesn’t love you…but sometimes kids react poorly when taken off guard!
