Relationship Compatibility?
samurai girl asked:
It is said opposites attract. But, how do you maintain the love, respect & intimacy when you have profound philosophical differences with your partner? Is there such a things as TOO opposite to be compatible?
I understand the complementary part of opposites. But, when you get down to the nuts and bolts of day to day living, some moral issues, politics – what you believe affects how you live and defines who you are. Agreeing to disagree can’t always work. What do you do in these instances?

Yes!
Attraction does not ask about mutual values. Viva la difference!
But marriage—-first of all imagine your are legally and financially bound to someone who has radically different ideas on where to spend money, time and effort or even what is a good charity to donate to? Even all the other persons credit cards and such are your responsibility to pay. It is horrible.

My wife and I are opposites in so many ways. It’s called a complementary relationship. You learn more about life with an ‘opposite’ than you do with someone who is ‘the same’.
