Should you wait for the guy in every case and relationship? Or take matters into your own hands? What do YOU think?

I think the girl can bring up the idea or generate a conversation, but I still think the guy should do the asking. He will ask if he wants to marry you, especially if you have been hinting that you think he’s the one, it’s time, etc. Good luck!

In my opinion, I’d be flattered if my wife who was the one who proposed. I’d probably even dig her more after that big gesture. But that’s me!

NEVER, men like to do the pursuing, when a woman comes on too strong, especially a proposal of marriage, that is a complete turn off ! If a woman proposed to me, I would run the other way !

I see nothing wrong with it.

Who says a girl cant propose

I dont know how common it is but im sure its happened where a woman proposed instead of the man.

Well…. I did this. And it confused the hell out of my boyfriend. After he said yes, nothing ever came of it. !!!!! He didn’t take it seriously and then months later he asked me… and I thought we had already been through the motions.

If i could go back, I would have just waited it out! Hope this helps.

I see no problem with a woman asking a man to marry her. Love should know no bounds.

    I am not against it.

However, I myself would never propose to a man. I am the prize. lol. He had to do it the old fashioned way.

    Traditionally, men propose.

It sounds like you want to buck tradition. Nothing wrong with that.

It depends on how deep you both are into this relationship, i.e. your levels of commitment.

Some men will be intimidated because this clearly isn’t the norm. Other men, if they are more open-minded, won’t have a problem.

You do have to be careful that he won’t assume that you’re trying to push him into marriage before he’s prepared. I personally think it’s cool that you want to propose to your guy.

If you want to get married, suggest it in a way that he can have time to think about it. At one time I’d have freaked. Now I’d be flattered. I’m all for equal rights and responsibilities.

Catch him totaly off guard! There is a new nationwide service called “Time For Me TV” that allows anyone to STAR in their own TV commercial. Propose to your video camera and send the tape to this service. Then request the date, time and TV station to show your commercial on. Make sure that “Special Someone” is watching the right station at the right time. When your commercial airs, you will be asking him to marry you from the TV screen. For a reasonable price, they will place you on any channel you request, at any time and in any city. This will show him that you are not only serious about this relationship but that you are also clever and unique. It will also give you something new to talk about!! Their website is
    Good luck
