Love is attraction of something or someone. You love because you find it interesting, unique, etc. You can love people or you can love things.

True Love is attraction with the totality of the person. You love someone not because of their good and bad, their perfections and imperfections, their totality not their individuality.

Showing off is when you just want something so that to invoke a reaction from other people, like cause envy or show people you are better than them. It’s more of an ego thing. ^_^
